The purpose of this post is to show a colour comparison of each concealer in my collection relative to my skin tone and foundation shade as a guide. I hope this kinda helps those of you who’s skin tones are the same or close to my skin tone. I haven’t found many like this, and I thought it would make concealer shopping online easier as it provides a bit of a guide. I have written individual reviews for the 5 concealers and 1 foundation and you can find them on my page if you would like to read them! 🙂
From top to bottom:
Kat Von D Lock-It foundation in Light 45 Warm. – I also use Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation in the shade 2.0.
NYX HD Concealer in Porcelain.– I think this colour is a great concealer colour for both of the foundations I use. It appears to be a peachy shade but on the face it looks yellowy. It’s weird, I know.
Kat Von D Lock-It Concealer In Light 7. – This colour was made to be the complimentary concealer shade for the Kat Von D foundation in Light 45 Warm… I am convinced. It is a butter cream shade, with yellow undertones, but it still light.
Tarte Shape Tape Concealer in Fair Neutral. – This is a really light colour for both of the foundations I use, so again, I have to bronze up to even it out. If you like a really light under eye concealer look then this will be perfect for you. I like to go 1-2 shades lighter than my foundation and this is about 3-4 shades lighter. I recommend this for those of you who are fair/pale rather than those of you who have an olive complexion like me. (If you check out my other blog posts you can see what I skin tone looks like while tan and not tanned).
Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in Light Warm. – I think this is the perfect colour for the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation in the shade 2.0. The two combined together is the way I like my concealer and foundation duo to look like. This has a yellow undertone so it suits those with an olive skin tones and those who are also on the fair side as well.
Maybelline Better Skin Concealer in Ivory-10. – This concealer is too light for the foundations that I use. I would chose this shade if you are very fair/pale. I think the colour would be perfect those of you with that type of skin tone.
