Today I am very sick and had to take a day off, I am not used to having some time off so I decided to keep myself busy and do a review on my favourite drugstore liquid eyeliners! Anyhow, back to the eyeliner reviews!
I’ll admit that I do use a lot of high end products; however, I noticed not many eyeliners I use are from high end companies. I think that any good liquid eyeliner is very black, pigmented, smudge-proof, and lasts long. I’ll describe how each brand fits into the categories.
Annabelle Liquid Eyeliner- Blackout $4.79 CAD
My number one favourite is the Annabelle Liquid Eyeliner in the colour Blackout. I know for certain that at Walmart it is no more than $5.00. I love this eyeliner and have been using it for years!!! It is washable but doesn’t smudge, very black, pigmented, and lasts all day. It is a thin, felt-tip applicator which is great for applying eyeliner and even a winged line. Tip: Blackstar is not black, it is an ashy grey shade. I was once fooled by it, too.
Elf Waterproof Eyeliner Pen- Black $2.00 CAD
This eyeliner tube has the appearance of a pen, but don’t be fooled it works and I really love it! The tip is less soft as there are other softer tips, but I don’t mind it. The tip is very thin so I can effortlessly draw on a thin line very close to my lash line. The colour is black, pigmented, and lasts all day and even throughout the night. When I don’t take my eyeliner off before bed (oops) it still is in place in the morning. Even though it is waterproof, it isn’t a hassle to take off.
And there you have it! Let me know of any liquid eyeliners under $5 that I should try. I want to try NYC eyeliner next, if you have tried it let me know what you think!
