At first I liked the matte look and then I wanted to go for a glowly look! Over time, I have searched for a product that is cheap but gets the job done and here is a review of what I found! There are 7 Products, 6 Foundations, 5 Brands, 1 Illuminator… enough said, let’s get right into it!
Almay- Clear Complexion $15
These two 30 ml foundations are my favourite foundations!!! The one on the left is the 500 beige and the one on the right is 300 naked. When I have a tan, I use the 500 to contour and 300 under my contour, on my forehead, and chin. (Now I do have a new concealer I use instead!) I would say that these products are medium to full coverage, can be applied with a beauty blender, or applied with a brush. This foundations lasts me from 7 am to 9 pm. And it does have blemish clear technology as well. The original is a 3 in 1 and the innovation on the left has a 4 in 1 combo! 10/10
L’Oreal- True Colour Match $22
This foundation shade is W4/ natural beige and I use it when I have a medium to deep tan. This foundation is my second favourite, has 17 spf, and is 30 ml as well! It lasts me all day, but the only con is that is has an odd smell to it. It has a matte finish when applied with your hand or brush but has more of a dewy finish when applied with a beauty blender! Additionally, I noticed that it dries pretty quickly so you have to move fast when applying and blending. 9/10 do recommend.
Urban Decay- Naked Skin $45
This weightless foundation ia blendable and has buildable coverage with a luminous finish. I like it when I am more fair in the winter and it doesn’t appear cakey at all! The only con is the price, but nonetheless, the product is still great! Before I came across my Almay concealer, I use this under my eyes when contouring and it worked like a charm!! 8/10
Rimmel- Wake Me Up $10
This foundation is in the colour soft beige/200 and I got it for $10 on scale but it can cost up to about $20. It is an anti-fatigue and skin brightening foundation that has vitamin C in it. It lasts most of my day, I would say from 12 to 4 pm. The only thing is that there are sparkles which create the glowy illusion (some people don’t like that but I don’t mind it). Lastly, it has a slight floral scent to it and is a bit sticky after you apply it, which is a given. 7/10
L’Oreal- True Match Lumi $20
This true match liquid glow illuminator is in the shade W101 and there are other shades available as well. It really is shiny and golden!! I like it a lot. I use mix it with my foundation or put it on after for the extra glow. It is a bit pricey for only 20 ml though! 7/10
Maybelline- FIT Me! $10
The FIT Me! Foundation was $10 on sale. It is in 225, is a light converge, and is very buildable! Apply it with a brush for full coverage. It makes your skin appear glowy, hydrated and smooth… though it does not last long. 😦 The first time I tried it, it lasted me for a short period of time and I loved the look! I was sad to find out it didn’t last me as long as the others, but I can say it is great for short days! The consistency reminded me of the Urban Decay Naked Foundation! So I guess I could consider this a dupe for it or a cheap alternative. Overall I would rate this a 7/10.
